Wedded Bliss!

My sister got married (yesterday)
Dec. 30th 2011
It was Cold and windy at the temple but BEAUTIFUL!

This isn't the best picture...but I only took a few
and then decided that I'd let the professionals
do the people shots! Plus my hands...frozen!

Center Pieces!

Treats before the table was stuffed full of yummies!

Random decor and the yummy hot coco bar!!

The candy bar (buffet). And yes it was an
open bar! Woot! Notice the peach rings!
My personal favorite!

The candy bar was done by

The Candy Orchard

Lauren Orchard
(801)915-5301
Her and her mom couldn't have been nicer!

Remember the doors I got at a yard sale for a dollar each.
They turned into a darling aqua backdrop.
They made the wedding dress really stand out against the pretty
blue green!

A little sitting area w/ frames hung w/ command strips!
Love those things!

Card cage! Yes we put the cards behind bars!!
No sticky fingers here!

The area before the big band showed up!

Yep I "wrapped " the tithing box". To bad someone tore
it down after the shin dig! Polka dots would make paying
tithing so much more fun!

Guest book/Poster.

Amazing quirky LDS church in the avenues!

Front door!

Never seen an entrance to a gym like this!!

Looking into the gym from the front hall!

There were two of these faces on either side of the
stage. I think plaster!

He doesn't look to happy! Poor fella!

Looking across gym!

Wedding cake!

We had so much fun!
Nothing like good food, good friends,
good music and
awesome decor!!

Things to remember:

*Decorating the wedding car w/ a five year old,
a 9 year old and a 7 year old was my favorite part of the night!
(little children live in the excitement of the moment)
They almost sparkled w/ happiness!
*My sister Harmony likes everyone!
*People who helped clean up after the wedding w/
out being asked! A GODSEND! (Kaelin's and Ely's)
*Congrats to my BESTIE Risa! I love her even if
I never see her!
*People who are talented and are willing to share!
 Erik Mckay you rock!
*Halli having enough wedding for a moment finding a couch
and reading a book, till she caught her second wind!
*TJ the most agreeable brother in law in the world! He couldn't be kinder!
*Zoey drawing a bridge on the get
away car and hope'n "Drew really likes it"!
*The Avenues! Couldn't be cuter!
* Seeing true friends come to celebrate..loved!
*It was a warm 55 in the valley and FREEZING at the temple!
*The peace @ the temple.
*When things are HARD kind words matter!
* Hearing for the millionth time how HOT my 6 month preggo
sister is. Not feel'n a tiny bit bad because she looked sizzle'n!
*My sister in law Leslie broke a tooth at the candy bar!
*My cousin Jenny stood up and belted out a song at the end of the whole gig!

Happy Wedded Bliss Ba ba!

***Best thrifting find EVER****

I am OVERLY stressed lately!
 Tis the season I guess?
In between projects I took
a little look see at the thrift store.
I saw this!! What a DYSON?? These babies retail
for a cool 499.00. Wozers!

I vacuumed a small section at the thriftstore.
I totally looked like "that weird lady!"
The vacuum worked perfectly!

I came home cleaned all her filters.
(We have this vacuum at work and so I am
a pro w/ unclogging and cleaning filters!)
She is as good as new!!

The kicker?

FIVE stink'n bucks!!! Awesome!

Also on the way home I ran into this
(queen head and foot board!)!!
My sister is getting married and up
grading to a queen. I risked my life for this baby..
but it was so worth it!!

Oh happy day!!

*My mom backed into my car AGAIN!! Not kidding!
*I love after Christmas Sales!!
*Got something w/ a free sign stuck to it today.
(almost lost my life but got it)
**I got an amazing deal at the thrift store today.

I am ready to go back to work.
It even shocks me!!

Oh Happy Day!

Home tour III

This is a beautiful home that is now a business! It is beautiful!
I am sure in it's day it was a very grand mansion!

None of the wood work was painted in this house.
Thanks in part to hoarders living in the home for the last 30 plus years!

Beautiful cut glass windows!

Beautiful wood work and beautiful decor!

Killer built ins!

Loved this quirky little sink!

The bathroom wall inviting you to "have a seat!"

Sparkle in the kitchen!

Hot pink bathroom!

Amazing home! If walls could talk
I am sure they'd have stories to tell!

Can't forget to give a shout out to Tristin and her peeps!
They decorated this joint and word has it they'll be on the home
tour NEXT YEAR!! (They hire out!)

Remember the home tour? Part II

This is another old historic home in my tiny town.
Loads of charm and TONS of history!!

Loved the stove!

and the light. And looks at those back lit cupboards!

I loved the cute stove in the front room too!
I sure do hate to be cold!!

Hope you New year is swell!

So cute and so fun!
It burned about an hour.
I didn't add a lid. But I will next time!

Happy eve of Christmas!!

Christmas Eve!

The sweet nieces came down this morning
for Christmas eve breakfast.
This is the gift that was waiting for them!!
A store/shop/cafe/library/produce stand!
It was thrifted but then I jazzed it up.
It turned out DARLING!!

New darling aprons were included in the gift!

It really is better to give then to receive!
and the creative process...priceless!

Back me on this one will ya?

I have been working on my sisters wedding back drop
for a few days now. It has been cold and fingers have been frozen!
These doors weigh more then 2.9 million pounds EACH!
I love the old history of each door though.

I love the old hand painted wood grain my some master artisan
in his day!

I hate that this one plate cost 3.00!

Trying to decide if we (meaning my sister) should leave them chippy or
clean them up a bit?
I myself like the texture of the chippy played off all the other
"elegant" decor. I think chippy would look great behind the well groomed
bride and groom. I googled to see what the rest of the world is doing!:

Happy Holidays!
