We Remember!

The other night I went to the cemetery to place flowers on the graves. I was the only one in the cemetery. The sun was setting and there was a cool breeze. I felt strongly "He is not here! He is risen!". I felt glad to know that also the bodies that had been placed in the ground no longer held their spirits and they had risen and now reside w/ God!

Cheap but CUTE cut and color!

I need a cut and some cute spring highlights! I'd like to TRADE for those services locally. Anyone game? I can trade you something fun I have redone, A crafty lesson (maybe something I have made on my blog?), a baby sitting session, (Just had CPR yesterday) I can help you finish a project....oh the possibilities are ENDLESS!!

Costly!

I went to Old Navy yesterday and found some really cute stuff but refuse to buy a t-shirt for 15.00 or a darling knit jersey dress for 29.00. I am cheap I admit it! I had to spend 600.00 on a new tooth today...crowns aren't what they are cracked up to be!! Honestly!!

My sweet little sister is trying to do a bathroom remodel! (see above) My sister isn't as cheap as me but...ALMOST!! Have you priced a light fixture lately? COSTLY. Well my friends at CSN said that they'd love to help her out...and THEY TOTALLY FOLLOWED THROUGH!! I love CSN they have everything from Track Lighting to cookie cutters! They are fab!

Tuesday

My Honda air bag had a recall...needless to say it needed to be fixed! I called Honda and made an appointment and they told me it would take FOUR hours to fix...but they would kindly take me some where while they worked on it!! I walked and shopped for HOURS I bet I walked 15 miles or more!! My feet are KILLING me! It ended up taking 5 hours. On my adventure I happened on:

I saw these DARLING flowers on this "life guard" shirt. Weird combo...but I can totally copy this idea and it will be perfect!

I also stopped by WinCo and got my favorite cereal for .98 cents a box. Wheat Chex I love you! Then I stopped at DI and got my darling sister (who owes me BIG TIME) two like new American Standard sinks for her on going bathroom remodel. Oh yeah the sinks were 5 bucks a pop!! Scream'n deal!!

A week of Thrifted Bliss!!

See this little beauty!? 2 bucks at the Down Town (DI) location!! What else did I get? I can't say cuz my friend Risa thinks I have a hoarding issue!

This week I spent house sitting and puppy watching for my sister who is rich and went out of the country on "a little trip". I spent my days thrifting away the hours!

The Holiday DI in Suger House. There is NEVER anywhere to park so you have to park in a lot for that (another) store shoppers only and hope you don't get ticketed!! The store is on three levels and it hot, loud and dirty and crammed w/ STUFF mostly junk. The place is getto to the T! There are MANY MANY full timers some I believe to be homeless!! The "staff" bless their hearts are VERY un-helpful and many don't speak the language! If you do find something good. It isn't priced and no one is around to help! That or it is under 12 layers and someone w/ B.O. is standing very near you and looks like they might pull a knife...it's not worth your life so walk away! I dare say the holiday DI is very near what I think HELL would be like! Not a must see by any means!

I did happen on a fun Salvation Army in Murray! A super expensive Savers in Murray too. NPS one of my all time favorites! IKEA. IKEA bless you! Lest you think I skipped Pottery Barn. Don't worry I went and had a look see!! Many many other places too!! Awee the bliss of no responsibilty!!

All I needed was a little time off and a little junk to clear my chi and get me back in the right frame of mind! Can't wait till next time!!

If a girl could die or win a metal for Thrift Shopping...I'd be the girl. Today was crazy fun!! Found very little but saw a VERY LOT!! My feet are killing me!! Awe the bliss!!

Head Band!

I LOVE a good band! I loved going to Piper and Cloe. I saw these head "bands" there. I was to cheap to buy the 10 dollar beauties they had there. So I made this friday night! A little package of 50. head bands and some rolled flowers...and I look like a princess!

Easy Breezie...

Didn't have lots of luck at the City Wide Yard Sale...but sure had LOADSA fun!! One of the many things I bought for a quarter was this "Cover Girl Mineral Make Up" I love it. It makes my skin look smooth and clean and non oily. I like that is doesn't soak in. It feels light and not as thick and sticky as liquid foundation. I LOVE that is was only a quarter!! Wish I would have bought more of these (new in the package) babies!!

I like Polka Dots...

Not spots! I read about this delightful stuff HERE. At NINE dollar a pop and not at my Walmart this was a big leap of faith...but I thought 'what the heck'? I love it! I use the wash every other washing as it is drying! The zit spot treatment...is like magic...and will dry out a zit over night!! It is a little "funny" (herbie) smelling...but I got use to it pretty fast! Love it. Try it! Thanks Burt's Bees!

It's a GRAPE day!!

Today while driving all over town slothing yard sales I drove past the food pantry...and what did I see a sign sporting the words "FREE GRAPES!" I am a sucker for free!! Grapes are delish!! I stopped and I got a case!! OH I love FREE!!

Something GREEN!! This beauty SCREAMED at me from across the thrift store. Oh how I wanted to bring her home...Alas I need a coffee table like a hole in the head! I don't even drink coffee!! :) I still admired her from a far and look I even blogged about her green goodness!! Happy Spring!

Green with Envy!

I have HUGE feet. I always dream about being say a size 7. I'd even be please as punch w/ a size 8.5!! On Saturday I went to Piper and Chloe...it was a "shoes off event"!


When I walked out after ooooing and aweeeing my guts out I saw these babies! Green flats w/ flower!! SO cute!! I totally wanted to trade!!

The clench-er was they were about 3 inches long!! SO darling. That GAP kids does it to ya every time!!
