Conversation I had yesterday!

T: "Auntie would you like to play a game

where you get a box delivered and you

think it is full of little puppies but it is really full of me!!"

Serious tender mercy's yesterday. and just in the nick of time!!

May!

Yesterday I was having a conversation w/ my brother in law

about all the education my little nephew was getting

at his twice weekly preschool. My brother in law stated "Theodore

is learning his letters and letter sounds and his numbers. "Theodore what

comes after seven?" Theodore w/ out missing a beat stated "MAY!"

Later that day grumpy little Theodore stood at the back door yelling

"Dadddyyyy Hey Daddddy! Do you want to play w/ your favorite little boy?"

I took my one year old tiny shopping about mid shop

he started waving his hands telling me (in baby sign)

that he was "all done". What a smart little cricket he is!!

Oh I love him!!

Littles!

I love my nephews!! They are the best little people

I know! Today I had the chance to spend some

time w/ my best friends Eli and Isaac!

Eli and Isaac both had runny noses

and weren't feeling the best.

Eli even told me he died and layed on the couch

for a few minutes. (That isn't like him). Eli

got out all the toilet paper and paper towels

in the pantry and made towers for quite

a few minutes. I sat on the floor next to him

and looked something up on my phone.

I then had to quickly grab his brother in his room

and set my phone down. I came back later and

couldn't find my phone ANYWHERE!

I even pulled out the fridge.

I then lost Eli. He had opened the front door and ran

away! when I caught up w/ him he was on his

way to Las Vegas I'm sure!

I decided I needed to bring out the big guns!

The sand box it was. It was warm outside and I needed

a drink I stepped in for 2 seconds and

came out to Isaac who is normally

a total tow head sporting chocolate milk

covered hair and every inch of his body had sand on

it or in it. Not to mention the new sandy facial hair.

I then decided baths were in order. I filled the tub 

    and Isaac cried bloody murder while I tried to quickly

wash the sand from his soft body.

Eli tried to get as much water out of the tub in

the shortest time possible.

We got re-diapered and turned on a show.

My sister came home and knew which hidey hole

to check for my phone. But right before we

looked in the right place we looked under the couch.

There sat 6 green apples w/ little tiny bites taken out of each one

and then lovely lodged behind the couch.

Wonder who did that?

My sister is on call for those little sweeties 24/7.

She is Wonder Woman! I am not and I need a nap!! 

Jumble

 Upon seeing my nephew at the wedding (My brother's) I asked him if he would like to go on the elevator. For a full hour later he was upset with me because I would not show him the "alligator" I had suggest he ride upon his arrival. Elevator and alligator do sound similar! Poor fella!

Long time no post!! I have been busy!

*Two week notice for a no budget impromptu wedding. I felt like The Little Red Hen!!

* A birthday filled to the brim w/ goodness!!

*Blood pressure through the roof...killer side effects!!

While playing w/ my nephew 3 and his friend I ask what they wanted for Christmas.
Friend: I want a remote control car, air plane and boat. I told him that was gunna cost Santa a lot and so he stated that he only needed one.
I then asked my darling nephew what he would like. He looked at my w/ a total dead pan expression and said "A magic wand so I can turn my self into lots of different people!!
...

What in the heck? This kid is the silliest ever!! I then taught them how to eat sunflower seeds right out of the flower! Time well spent!

*The leaves are falling! I love my boiled wool slippers even more. The days are darker and over cast and I am reminded that I am solar powered! *The bright glow of the yellow leaves makes me happy!!

Bee Still!

 

My sweet tiny nephew has just begun

walking. He is still a little wobbly.

He loves to explorer his back yard.

Often he is found standing in front of

a flowering bush w/ vibrant purple flowers.

He is looking close at the happy honey bees

readying the hive.

 

I love the look of wonder and discovery

on his face. I love that he can stay

still for a long time watching

the quiet work of the bees.

I love that he reminded me to "Bee Still".

So I got this the other day!

Look who I ran into at the thrift store the other day!

It was super stained and really nasty but I figured for

fifty cents it was worth a try.

 

I tried and tried using many different concoctions

to clean this little lady nothing worked till

in desperation I soaked her in peroxide over night.

Good as new...or good enough!!

 sunflowers that dance along the

freeway as I pass each day!!! Swoon!!!

*It is totally to hot for school to be in session.

*All our peach blossoms froze. I found a few random

peaches hiding on the tree!!

The other day after handing my darling nephew

Theodore a whistle he asked. "Is this so I can blow this at

my house and you can hear it at your house and

then come over?

 

I wish!! Such a smart little fella!

This morning while talking to my darling nephew

Theodore on the phone he asked, "Auntie can

you come over and play today?"

I told him I wouldn't be able to play today

but I would come over soon!

He then said "Ok well make sure to

 ask your parents ok?

Sunny days..chase'n the clouds away!

 

 

I have pictures "stacked up" on my phone. I have no idea

how to get them onto my blog. So alas no photos by me!

 

*I love when my nephew was asked his last name. He lovingly states Ferrill

just like his bestie Fodie!

 

*I love today I woke to jacket weather!

Today one of the little ladies I am in charge of each day asked for chicken noodle soup for dinner. I assured her that was a great idea! Tonight after the soup cooking all day in the crock pot she looked at it and stated " I wanted it out of the can!"

Upon waking I saw a small pile of bugs. I ran to get a paper towel, while totally grossed out. As I went to scoop them up I noticed they were only yarn! Darn crafty habits!!

My sister officiated at a wedding yesterday and it makes me giggle just thinking about it!! She is so RAD!!!

People who drink room temperature water are beyond me!! I like it on the verge of ice w/ a few icebergs floating around to boot!!

*Humidity and I are not friends!
*I am so thankful for 911!
*My nephew (1) can play a little wooden flute and my heck it is cute!
*I HATE cockroaches! ...
*Headaches are always following me around!!


One day two weeks ago this happened!!
Today I lost a small child. I hosted a group of house guests I had never met before. Stepped in dog poop and met a woman named Heather Robison.

*My new small bestie Anna reminds me often "You know I don't like to get dirty!!"

*Did you know Layton got a new Goodwill? My word it is good!! It is like walking down isles and isles of Target sale end caps!! Go check it out. It is just west of DI and around the corner from Savers!!

*Conversation I had a few weeks ago:

A: "My brother thinks you're overly happy!"
L: "That isn't necessarily a bad thing!"
Me: "Thanks I think?!"

Hot Date!

 

 

 

The other night I spent some time w/

Theodore while his mommy and daddy went out.

It was a great time and lots of fun was had!

Some of my favorite parts were.

 

 

*When Theodore asked me if I was pretending

 to be his mommy when I made dinner.

 

*When Theodore's brother woke up and was

very unhappy. Theodore sung tiny a song

about death. He and his dad had had a deep

talk about how long people and pets live

and about when they die. I am sure Little Linc

was comforted by the death song!

 

* I couldn't get Little Linc back to sleep

after rocking him for a long time.

So I placed him in his bed and sadly he cried.

I felt upset by his crying. Theodore  then reassured me

that "Sometimes you just have to let him cry

a little so he will learn to go to sleep!!" I knew he was right 

and I felt happy to know that the three year old in the

house had things under control.

 

*The following day was mommy's birthday.

Theodore and I decorated the place and

he really wanted to hide and jump

out and surprise his mommy. Where

does he learn this stuff? I asked him

to do it in the morning when mommy would REALLY

be surprised. Wonder what time her wake up

call was?  

 

*I loved when Theodore would reenact a conversation

his mommy had w/ him and it sounded just like her!

 

*I tucked little man in bed but didn't pull the covers up.

It was warm and he had on warm jammies.

Theodore looked at me and said.

"Ummm I need these blankets on top of me."

What was I thinking!

 

 

Tiny people are the BEST people!!

Clock it!

 

I like clocks. I like clocks enough to collect them.

I am trying only to spend money on needs

and not on clocks. However when

this little fella called my name

and his sticker said 2 dollars.

I answered back "OK!"

This clock came w/ a yucky pinkey

flesh color. I thought I would spray paint it.

Then I remembered this post from 4 Men 1 Lady.

I thought I'd strip this baby down to raw metal for

that industrial chic look.

I lost the thumb print on my left hand

but after 15 minutes w/ a can of striper

and scrubbie this darling looked like

a shiny new quarter!!

 

I think I sweated a gallon of water but it was so worth it!!

This house always makes me wonder!!

 

*I love small conversations my nephew (Eli) has w/ him self.

He is so animated and loves every thing dramatic!

I noticed him place a large yellow rubber band on his head and

admire himself in the mirror. The rubber band was better then

a gold crown in his eyes.

*I love that Eli reminds me often that "Heavenly Father makes thunder!"

 

*I stood at the side of the road while watching Elder Boyd K Packer's

family drive by to lay him to rest. I noticed a small sign saying "Welcome

Home Elder Packer" It was quiet and reverent. I wish

all people had such an amazing send off.

* I love that I just made a phone call and forgot
the last name of the person I was reverencing. Oh my!!

 

*Look up my sister's new art endeavor on Facebook.

*I could eat my tiny nephew Lincoln w/ a spoon!!

*My sisters family has been so so sick w/ the flu!!

My darling nephew Eli (2) was helping me look for a shirt

for his mommy to borrow. He looked at the pile of clean clothes and said

"What is happening here? I don't know what is happening here!!"

I guess the kid isn't used to huge amounts of clothing in piles!

Hands!

 

 

I love my nephew Fodie so much.

He can take me or leave me.

I mostly bug him lately. Yesterday was a rare treat

and HE LIKED ME!!

 

We played a little all day! It was an exciting moment

when his daddy fired up the new yard sale keyboard.

Little brother Lincoln crawled right up to the key board and

pressed his tiny fat baby hands on the keyboard.

Fodie not to be outdone pressed his hands down hard also.

I asked Fodie nicely to take his hands off!

Fodie looked and me perplexed and said

 "Auntie I can't take my hands off!"

Looking at his hands and looking at me!!

He had never and will never remove his hands from his wrists

and honestly wonders why I think he could or would!!

I did the raddest thing last night.

 I hate hearing how toxic everything is.

 I keep hearing microwave popcorn is toxic.

 So last night I made popcorn in a brown bag.

It was DELISH and so darn easy. I felt like MacGyver!!!

Happy Spring!!

I read about this book on a blog. The whole idea of

it sounded intresting to me. It is about a woman who loses

all her money in a bad investment. She is rich one day and down and out the next! 

 She goes from riches to rags in

one day. I loved to see how this woman was forced to 

look at life diffrently. It made me have very deep thoughts and

think about money diffrently. This book was very profound to

me and really spoke to me at this little rough spot in my life. 

**Disclaimer: This book does used the F-word about five times. 

Also this woman wrote a book that is about sex. It is mentioned a few times. 

I just skipped over those pages because they were a bit much. 

My library does not own this book and I had to borrow it from and

inter-library loan. FYI.

My new favorite thing in the whole wide world. 

(or not) is You Tube. I love to see what people

buy at thrift stores, dollar stores, yard sales

dumpster dive..ect ect. 

So I will be posting some of my favorite channels

in the next little while so you can partake of the joy too!!

Life as of lately!!

 

I will post my own photos again when someone

*My favorite over heard conversation today. A friend was passing out mints during sacrament meeting The mints must have reminded Ms. E of gum. . Ms. E (4 years old) stated "sometimes when I chew gum it' slips right down my throat!"

*Tonight I sat down at a table of strangers at a wedding reception. I noticed the family next to me had accents and asked if they were from New Zealand. The woman stated they were and then said "You're Heather right? I know you from Facebook. Hello....Awkward long pause and lots of blushing followed!!

*Conversation I had today w/ my darling friend Benjamin (6 years old).
Me: Hey Ben who is the baby in this picture?
B: It's Jesus.
Me. I don't think it is Jesus. Is it you? ...
B: No it's Jesus!
Pause.
B:Why don't you think it is Jesus?
Me: Well they didn't have disposable diapers when Jesus was born. And sadly they didn't have cameras.
B: Oh I could be wrong!

*Yesterday at church I noticed a little lady (2/3ish) doing jazz hands at me. I gave her a little wink wink and went about my business. A few minutes later she flashed the hands again! I noticed then she had noticed that we sported the same pink nail polish. I acted shocked and overly pleased, pointed to my finger nails and at her and gave her the best mid meeting jazz hands I could offer. We will be nail besties forever!!

*Funny how upon seeing my grade school teachers I become the child I was!! Saw Mrs. Romer (2nd grade) tonight and was all blushy and said in a tiny voice "Hi Mrs. Romer!"

Yesterday at church I noticed a little lady (2/3ish)

doing jazz hands at me. I gave her a little wink wink

 and went about my business. A few minutes later

Service!

 

Today my brother called in dis-stress.

He needed to complete a punch list by

 tomorrow for an inspection on his house.

 My mom and I went up to help. Upon arriving

 we could see how little we were getting done.

 My mom walked next door and talked to the

 neighbor (who happened to be the bishop)

w/ in 20 minutes 10 or more men (& young men)

 were there to help. I told my brother

 "It's a modern day miracle!!"

So grateful for kind people who do good even

 when there is no physical or monitory reward!

 Great reminder of the importance of service is!! Gushhhh!

*It snowed on Weds. Lots of fluffy wet snow.

*This weekend has been ideal weather.

*Looking for a job is more of a job then most jobs!

*I hate exercising!!

*My nephew had a WILD birthday party last night.

 Tons of kids.

I regret not taking pictures but I was busy face painting.

I always resented CPR and first aid training.

It takes so long and it is so darn yearly!!

Today I was in the store and needed to help

a mom w/ a blue and limp 9 month old. It was so frightening!!

I was able to do and remember all that I needed

to do and pass the tiny off to EMT's.

Everyone please take a class!! You can take a class online

and you can do it for family night. In courage it in your

wards for adults and youth. I just felt so blessed w/

knowledge today! Empower yourselves!!

While shopping w/ my darling nephew "E", this happened.

"E" talks to and shouts "hello" to anyone in sight!"

 A kind grandma stopped to talk to little "E". 

She noticed all the toys in our cart, that were

 there to play w/ and not purchase. "My"

 she stated "Looks like your mommy sure loves you!"

 "E's" tiny two year olds face scrunched and he said

"No not mama! Auntie!!" "Oh" the woman stated

and quietly moved on. I love that tiny "E"

 he sure has lots to say and you can just see his tiny mind work full blast!! 

 

"E" also noticed a four wheeler in the back of a truck

and knew at that very moment me needed to

have it and ride it. Stating very loudly "That is Eli's four wheeler!

Eli ride it!!"

 

We also saw a large sign showing yummy chocolate cookies!

Eli then went into a long conversation about

how Daddy loved doughnuts and always eats them.

I asked Eli if daddy gave Eli bites he Eli said "No just daddies!"

 

I love Eli!! His vocabulary is catching up w/ his mind

and makes me laugh!

The other day I found myself here. I am not one for retail so

much and I hardly have time to find parking and walk forever.

However sometimes things like that happen.

Urban Outfitters was full of expensive eye candy!

I partook! They have very nice staff too!

 

I could sleep for a week!!

Someone tipped me off on dumpster diving

at large décor stores. (Ok ok it was Youtube)

I find fun stuff but some times it is a little imperfect.

Imperfect is perfect for me!!

I like things a little dinged up and a little

rough around the edges! Like

the cake plate above. Swoon and FREE!!

It had a few chips in it that looked creamy

and dull. Nothing a little white nail polish can't fix.

Perfect for décor. (Not food safe).

Next time you have a chip...reach for the polish.

Went up to my brother's new house to

 help stain wood trim. (Are you great at staining...he could use help!)

My car died!! He towed me (my biggest fear and rightly so)

 Spent hours in the Auto Zone parking lot

 in the dark w/ head lamps..

.trying to revive my sweet Honda!!

 Oh heavens I am glad today is over!!

 

 

 

*Teaching 12 year olds how to stain. Not fun!

*A pocket dial from my sister and her little. So funny and

makes me giggle even now.

*The thought of a "true English Breakfast" makes me ill!

*I just finished the book above. The Big Tiny by Dee Williams.

It was super profound. I love stuff! I like tiny things. Life is hard.

I need a flush toilet and a shower. This book reminded me of the book

WILD but was more insightful and life altering and had a lot more meaning

to me! Read it. You won't regret it and you'll love your toilet more!!

 

*Driving home today from an early

morning exercise I thought "I could use more

Forsythia in my life!!"

 

*Most people can't be counted on. SAD!

 

*I hate exercising. I do like to walk though. I also like

the after effect.

 

*My guilty pleasure as of late. Zoe and Alfie. They

are British teens (early 20) who live together

and record their WHOLE LIFE! They get paid to

Vlog...and they wrote books...and they are so funny

and so darn weird. Alfie is darling and he makes me laugh!!

Love them. Weird...yeah!

 

*Job hunting makes me feel sick!! It is hard.

 

*My car is always messy! Not a fan!

 

*The other day I was having fun playing w/ my beastie

Theodore and he turned to me and said. "Can you

poor me some bubbles and then go inside?"

He'd reached his Auntie thresh hold!!

Today I noticed my nephew had a very runny nose.

I asked him if he was getting sick.

"No" he answered w/ rosy cheeks.

 I asked if his nose was getting sick

  "Yes and it keeps throwing up!"

He stated!

Carly my idol!!

 

 

Once a long long time ago.

I met a like minded woman at her yard sale.

I called my friend to come to partake of the yard sale too and

they too became friends. Her name is Carly.

She is a BEAUTY. She is a cleaver diva too.

Her design style and sassy pants are

out of this world!

 

Today I dropped by her beautiful home! Swoon.
