New Hobby!

I have a new hobby! I have been clenching my teeth all night every night for the last little while and my jaw is killing me!!

Home town History!

My small town is spending MILLIONS to restore an old and BEAUTIFUL dance academy. Here are the pictures of the inside before any major restoration has begun!! Holy pressed tin!!

House Envy!

I drive by this house often and admire from a far!! W/ all the craziness during the city wide celebrations I thought I'd join in an take a few photos of a complete strangers home!!

"Just Peachy"

My little city has been having a Peach Days celebration for over 100 years. I say when "fun" knocks at you door..let it in"!

At the Kiddie Parade we ran into this fella!!

Lemon aid served from a lemon...Priceless!!

My darling little sister found this pig just walking around and so she picked him up and kept him for a pet!

The Parade was a "must see". I saw and was done after an hour....it was VERY LONG!

My feet are killing me and my alabaster skin got a little to much sun...but all in all it was fun...and next time it "knocks" I'll let it in!

Mouse

I've wanted to cover a mouse pad for awhile...Like I have said before ugly makes me itch and the mouse pads that have been hang'n around have made me break out into a rash.

I saw this: here But didn't have the "stuff" so I just jumped in w/ both feet and some Mod Podge! Here is what happened!

*A little fabric, Mod Podge and an ugly mouse pad.

*A nice coat of said Mod Podge!

*Another!

A trim and TA DA!! It is still a little sticky and when I rest my sweaty paw on it it sticks...but we'll give it a few days and then move on to plan "B"!

So Cute!!

** On closer inspection a clear coat of spray was needed to keep the sticky-ness at bay from the modpoge!

It's beginning to look a lot like PEACH DAYS!!

Car Care!

While running errands w/ my darling little sister I keep on saying "Listen can you hear that?" Listening for a weird bumping sounds in my front tire. After a few times of prompting "listen" my darling sister suggested I just drive w/ the radio on and then I wouldn't hear the sound. That bit of advice will save me lots of money...at least for a few days!

A "Staycation"

This weekend I decided to go to "The Big City" and see the sights! A little mini vacation!! I saw this. Nuff said!
I loved these! To big. I need to look for my size!

Bought these Reef Flip Flops after reading a raving review on someones blog!! So squshie and comfy! $4.00. Steep for me but it was "The big city".

Went to buy some cheap food at NPS! Saw this "Little Mouse" trying to take a huge bite out of this 3.00 mountain of cheese!

Then went here:

At the co-op I bought:

1 tub hummus .50

1 bag croutons .25

1 bag granola 1.00

1 bag bagel chips .25

2.00 of yummy-ness!!

My little sister bought sooo much stuff at the above stores she had no where to put it (tiny apartment kitchen) I tried to talk her in to a particle board 6.00 bookcase and she would not budge! A few blocks from her house I found this baby in a junk pile!! (It was large trash pick up and the curbs were LOADED and I was fascinated!! ) I stopped this by her house...and she wiped it down and "staged it" for "The Blog".

I picked these babies up on the curb too. Along w/ a BUNCH of flower pots for my darling brother in law!

I heart trash!!!

One of the girls who lives at the group home I work at asked off handily last year if I'd help her make a Sponge Bob costume for Halloween next year. Thinking I'd not be around another year I was more then happy to volunteer! It will be Halloween before we know it so guess what I (we) did this afternoon?

Oh but she is so happy and so "cute!" Don't think I got finished w/ this outfit w/ out a few very painful hot glue gun burns because I didn't!!

Books and a close Shave!!

I just finished reading these books. The bottom 2 are LDS fiction and top one isn't. I would recommend all of them!! When the thrift store is closed for a remodel I have to do SOMETHING!!

I bought the ALBA shave "stuff" at MPS for .50 to try...and I must say VERY NICE!! A super close shave is important!!

Lemon days!

Some days are just lemons!!

I went to get a snack while running errands today! Wanting something "low call" and yummy took lots of hunting!! I found this!!

Yummy!! Only 100 callories! I ate the WHOLE thing!!

After eating the WHOLE thing I noticed the cup had 3 servings! 300 Calories! So much for a low cal. treat!!

Another lemon. My favorite bra is no longer being made. HELLO!!

Again a lemon the doctors office I go to and REALLY like...no longer takes my insurance. BROTHER!! I feel like the would has it out for me today!!

I need a pitty party we'll serve LEMON AID!!

CD Crush...

I have a little crush on Chris Rice! His songs are happy clever and Christian. I just heart the guy! I have found 2 of his CD while on 2 different trips to Oregon at Goodwill! I love them. Look what I happened on the other day at MY VERY OWN thrift store!! A dollars worth of happiness!!

P.S. My one and only local thrift store is closed for a few days for a remodel and so the junk flow has all but slowed to a small trickle.

The big bad WOLF!!

I was sorting my wash...and I heard something fall to the bottom of the basket...it wasn't a quarter (shown for size purposes only) it was this HUGE killer spider!! I dare say this little man is a "wolf spider"!! See it's twin HERE ! I am NEVER doing wash again!!

Harvest

Peachy!

A sure sign that peach (this peach looks like a blushing tennis ball) season and then fall will soon be on it's way. I am going to savor both!!

As of late many things that I haven't "picked" have "picked" me. Isn't that life? Full of unknown things in each season. Sometimes we can't wait for the season to pass and sometimes we want it to stay forever!

Hay Head

Every few months my hair gets dry and straw like...I hate it!! This stuff... worth it's weight in gold!! It makes your hair like BUTTA!! Looks like there is a sale on at Bath and Body Works right now...all the better!!
