While walking down the isles of NPS I saw these. I have always loved they way these little boxes look..cute, tiny, red and blue..and vintage looking.

I loved that They were only a QUARTER!! I am a quarter girl after all.

Ever want one or two cookies and not batch after batch...that hang around for weeks!? Well these fit the ticket! Takes less then 3 minutes to throw together and makes one sheet of cookies!! Wouldn't these make PERFECT neighborhood gifts!

I saw these little rounded snow flake, flower things in a bin marked .25 cents at SEI last week. I got three!

 Aren't they darling sewn to this shirt!

 I thought so too!  doesn't take much to please me!

 Is it ok if I gloat about my NEW thrifted Asics shoes? SIX bucks!!

Friday Favorite (on Weds)

I know it is not Friday BUT it's my blog and I will do as a wish!! I read a post about Mrs. Beach Cottage having the most splendid day thrifting...and it made me giggle! I have such similar days! It goes to show God make like people and filled the world w/ them! I for one am so glad the blog world brought all us junker together!!

Weird!!

I like to pretend my life is all butterflies and cupcakes! Bad news...it's not! Weird things happen to me a lot!

Today I saw a lap top sitting in the middle of the road. I risked life and limb to save it. WHY? Because I know one day I'll drive off w/ something on the roof of my car...and I hope someone saves it for ME! I took it to the police station if you must know!

The other day while thrifting...I found a pair of Mormon Garments hanging on a rack. They shouldn't be! I had to sheepishly find someone who spoke English and explain why this item should not be "on the sales floor". I am not one to easily embarrass...but my word my face was RED!

Today I was BANNED from facebook.com I think someone hacked my account...because I would never ever do anything on FaceBook to be BANNED! Not only that but there is no way to talk to someone to un-ban me! Weird!! ***I was unbanned! Why? I'm not sure!

*** Later that day: I was in an episode of "Hoarders" yet there were not cameras or "professionals" there. Just me some cats and some major craziness!! What a life I lead!!

Five Dollar Flower!

I have been looking for one of these babies to borrow for a while..but 5 bucks?

I thought of this wall where I work!

 So I did what any self respecting crazy lady would do! I painted a flower on it!

 Now it just needs a friend! But we'll save that for another day!!

See this light fixture! I cringe every time I look at it. It looks to me like it has been stained w/ nicotine! (it hasn't) Look at that layer of dust too! Not pretty!

 75 cents later...and it has a darling milk glass dress! She looks darling and vintage. I can't wait to try the silver rub and buff I am going to order!

A quince!

I saw ANOTHER free sign on the side of the road! So I picked up a few of these babies!! Quince Jelly is being made as we speak!

The dress was HIT!

Old Navy clothing BIRTHDAY!

I just woke up less then an hour ago and I am already tired!! Bad sign! I always assume that the things I know EVERYONE knows. Sadly that is not the case! So here for you today are a few of my thrifty brain cells!

Did you know that every item of clothing Old Navy sells has the items birthday printed inside of it! I LOVE this because I can tell when thrifting if this item is "new fashion" or on it's way out. This little tag is in the neck of an item behind the size tag or in the side seam. Even in jeans!!

Also I learned something new on KSL.com. It makes searching even EASIER!! When typing in your zip code to look in your area right next to it is a little box that says "miles from". Add 5-or 10 and you get your whole area not just your zip code!! Love this!!

Ruffle

I love a ruffle! My honey comb blinds broke many moons ago. Just as a tempery fix I cut one seam of a pillow case and added it to my (small) window...it has been there for over a year. Today I fed my ruffle crush and added a cute little somethin' somethin'!

Looks kinda like this beauty huh??

Check this out! I ruffled it just like this but put my seam in the middle of the fabric! Easy huh?

Today is a cold gray fall day! I have had a perma headache for days...and there is really nothing to "write home about"! It's days like today I dream about all the blog giveaways I could win. A new Kitchen Mixer! A Trip to a far away land! Some fun craft machine. Alas...I am not so lucky!I AM SO LUCKY however to have WON 7.00 worth of swag at WENDY'S and guess what I'll take it!! Thanks My Insanity!!

It has come to my attention I am a "Thrift Store Bully!" If you just happen to be shopping w/ me in a thrift store at any given time. I may or may not find something "you" can't live w/ out. Where in I will hold you to the floor until you buy it!! Why I do this I have no idea!! I think it is something like an out of body experience! Be for warned. And can I say "I'm sorry" now!?

Book Report!

I read a great book this weekend. When I picked it off the shelves at the library I thought it looked a little "teenish" but crossed my fingers. I loved it! It is called Journey of the Heart by W. Dave Free. It is about a modern day teenager who some how finds himself in Pioneer time and crosses the plains w/ the early saints! Fun easy insightful read!!

 Mini Shopaholic! Funny and light hearted read. (The book does say the "f" word which I highly hate). Becky is always in a jam and it teaching her daughters he crazy ways!

I'd love to spend a few days in the past! The WAY past! I have read "Love Beyond Time"  lots of times and it never disappoints!
