Piles of Life!

My 96 year old friend is no longer able to live alone and so she has had to move into an assisted living center. She has been a constant in my life from childhood. Her family came last week to go through her 96 years of belongings and part w/ the un-needed and to treasure the rest!! We had an estate sale for the un-needed. How said to see a life as only piles and belongings! Good thing memories can never be piled and sold!!

Here are a few sweet tangible memories I received:

An old chest this woman's father made to store her favorite memories!

A beautiful mirror:
A beautiful (to me) broach. The kids in primary Sunday were fascinated!!

  1. I love the fact that you referred to her as your 96 year old "friend". That makes me smile. You will love her things so I'm sure she's glad that you have them.
