When I was little I'd wait for the day that the Christmas "Wish Book" would come! I'd spend HOURS looking over each page just dreaming of what would be perfect for Santa to bring!

I feel the same excitement when CSN contacts me and offers me something fun and FREE to try and review!! Last night I spend hours looking over CSN's fun stuff...and have my "wishes" all planned out! CSN has everything from a bedroom vanity to wellies!! Thanks CSN!

Yard Sale Dummy!

I am good at finding treasure in junk! I'm blessed! This morning I went to a KILLER yard sale of a lady who has FAB taste and is moving into a small apartment! Most...I'd say 99.9% of her stuff still had store price tags on them. I looked FOREVER! Everything was really high end and in very good taste! I looked and looked and found nothing that I needed or wanted...and yet I came home w/ 7.00 w/ of stuff! I got caught up in the buying crazy of everyone around me who had PILES and PILES and totes and totes of stuff...and I bought stuff I totally didn't want or need. Oh well a 7.00 lesson learned!!

I'm just that cheap!

I have been needing a car wash and in a VERY bad way for days...thought I'd brake down and go! But wait is that sprinklers in the cemetery I see!!? 15 Minutes in the cemetery and a clean car!! PERFECT!!

Fan me please!!

It is hot here in Utah!! This weekend we are look'n at a 100+. Ugah!! I needed this little lady to come home w/ me! Isn't she DARLING? She aqua and it only took me an hour to scrub the greasy dust off her and make her shine! Now to find a spot for her....hmmmm.

Fashion Plates

As a child of the 80's one of my favorite Christmas gifts was Tomy's Fashion Plates!! Alas being the woman that she is my mom saved NONE of our childhood fun! Yesterday while w/ my group home girls we headed to the thrift store. Look what I spied!! 50 cents of fun!! We made many a rubbing last night! Now they are listed on E-bay so the fun can lighten someone elses life!! "Oh the memories!" as GD would say!!

Tip

I always need a tiny tiny hair elastic for those hair emergencies!! I'd always loose them in my purse or in my car...till I thought of this!! Contact case...PERFECT!!

Tender Tiger!

Dear Vertical Diner,

I don't eat meat! Your place doesn't serve it...it seemed like a match made in heaven...bad news it wasn't! I hate to tell you that I whine A LOT when I am very very HOT!! So hot that I almost combusted! The ice melted in my cup upon contact! Honestly TO HOT!


I really liked my yummy portabella sandwich w/ a side of carrot sticks though!

A little meat free somethin somethin is always good! It had a cute name too! "Tender Tiger"!

Alas I was to hot to be happy about any of it!! I did do a cart wheel though when my brother in law picked up the tab!! High five brother in law!!

Knee Deep!

One of my favorite childhood memories was the HOURS and DAYS we spent swimming, cooking (mud pies) and pretending in the irrigation ditch.

I'm surprised we lived to tell the tales!

Today the ditches are covered by pipes and concrete and no one knows of the fun that was had just underfoot!

Not my ditch but one like it!!

Yard Sales I LOVE Thee!!

I walk in the door at work at 8:00 am on Fridays and I hear the minute my feet hit the dirty linoleum..."Can we go to yard sales today!" I always smile and nod and feel like Santa Clause w/ the joy that nod brings my darling friends!

Today the Yard Sale Gods yielded this lovely duo!!


See this darling cake plate? It gleams! She isn't super old or super heavy but she is sure enough a dollar darling!!

This .50 liquor bottle had ugly labels on it and smelled a little off and came w/ the most horrible stopper...but I love the crown pressed in the glass! It reminds me of the "Keep Calm and Carry On" crowd!
