I love Spring!

"Best Friends FOREVER"

GD and Risa and I met at Camp Oakcrest where we all worked in 1998. We were the BEST of the BESSST FRIENDS!!

GD always has a perfect tan! However the best thing about her is her faith of more then 12 mustard seeds. Nothing rattles this girl she is always calm and she can eat TONS of junk and still look like a super model!

Risa is a super free spirit always looking for adventure and travel in life and no matter how long in between our visits we are still "Bessst Friends" when we meet up!!

We met up last weekend (computer issues late post) for lunch and dined at Blue Plate in SLC YUMMY!

Then we went here to have a "mani"!! (for the un-hip that is a manicure)

It's expensive and broken!

I like to borrow things..I'M CHEAP!! I return things better then I find them (usually). Last night I borrowed my mom's new carpet cleaner. Now it doesn't suck!! I think I have and ulster!! After much thought I think these babies can't lay down in the back seat of a car. ALL of the past carpet cleaners my mom has owned have died after a ride in the car. Something to think about!

Nate and Oprah

I'm not a huge fan of Nate Berkus because anyone can be creative if you have a million bucks. It's not just Nate I feel this way about most "high end" designers. Today on Oprah however he did rooms for under 200 bucks! I loved to see CHEAP creative BEAUTIFUL decorating!! The only thing that would make it better is if he would have thrift store shopped. Can you even imagine Nate at Goodwill or DI?

The whole idea of the show was a group of friends took things they were willing to swap and swapped w/ their friends to make their homes "new and different". How fun! I'll have to find a group of friends to do a swap!

The thrift store yield was very good today! A vintage sewing machine stand for 5 bucks! (It will be painted a more springie color) Wouldn't this make a great lap top desk? Mmmm the wheels are turn'n!!

A cute ruffled sweater for 3 bucks! Kinda black (I am trying to go on a "black fast" but it isn't working!) but cute for next fall.

While nannying today Stanley 6 asked me why I wasn't having Ramon Noodles? I said I just wasn't in the Ramon mood. He said "Is it because of MSG?!" It made me laugh so hard!!

The Streets!

The first days of summer scream of glow in the dark white legs and fleshie looking upper arms that SCREAM for fake tan!! I love me some spray on fake tan it is so much easier then all that goopie wet lotion!! Love the below L'oreal bronze!!
Because I am insanely cheap and wanted to save 50 cents I got this. It stinks. I mean smelling good is not something that it offers! We'll see how the color turns out and if it isn't up to my liking...back to the drawing board!

When buying spray on tanner buy the tinted stuff...it is so much more fun!!

Bottled Spring!

Today is one of those perfect days...one I'd like to bottle and open in mid December or on a hot July afternoon!

Fruit Basket!!

My friend Callie told me about this "thing" she signed up for. You get a basket full of fruit and veggies for 20.00 bucks and pick it up in a parking lot every two weeks. I thought I'd give it a whirl and this is what happened!!


Let me break it down:
1 Pineapple
6 Mangos
10 Bananas
9 Pink Lady Apples
1 lb of Strawberries
1 lb Green Grapes
8 Tomatoes
1 bunch of Broccoli
3 Summer Squash
2 Cucumbers
2 heads Leafy Lettuce (at least I think it's the leafy kind)
8 Red Potatoes
They also had available for purchase 40lb Apples boxes and Italian Baskets which had onions, mushroom, herbs, etc for purchase but I didn't order those. The volunteers said that the bread freezes really well. It is presliced.


While testing out a pair of scissors at the local thrift store...they bit me!! I should sue!

I for one think perms should be out lawed in all 50 states and most corners of the world!! But look how happy my little friend looks!! She feels "beautiful"! I will allow this perm to pass, just this once!!

Green Bar Soap!

I have been using "green" earth friendly products as much as possible lately and I happened on this soap @ Walmart a few months ago...and REALLY love it!! My cute walmart in the mean time has pulled this product from it's store...what sorrow!!

** Update: Found an ok fill in at Shopko then later after finding a 1.00 off coupon in the Sunday paper found my little soap friend at Target!! Target we love thee!!

****A happy side note!! This product is sold in a box that you can PLANT and will grow FLOWERS!! It's a lovely two-fur!

Yoga This!

Do you think because I wear Yoga pants all the time I look like a fit yoga instructor who is in between classes!!? I think I am a soccer mom and I just don't have kids!!

Spring Green

Good News!! No rain today...but snow...sigh!! All the wet makes my desert home look like Ireland (I think). It is beautiful and GREEN!!

To celebrate GREEN I got this new little lady at the thrift store today for a DOLLAR!! This is one of many dollar purses I have had lately! I can't find a perfect fit!! This one means all my purse junk needs to go on a diet!!

I need a camera intervention!! I have no idea how to buy a camera! I have shopped and shopped and every review I read has good to say but lots negative to say!! Isn't everything in the world really loved by some and really hated by others?

What camera do you own? Do you recommend it?

Rain Rain go AWAY!!!

Rain is good for a few mintes here and there, but come on folks!! I live in Utah..the desert! I am not big into the rain for hours and hours stuff!!

I love dandelions!

There is something about a dandelion that say, slow down, don't take life so serious, enjoy yourself!! I love dandelions! They are just so darn happy!! They remind us the beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and packages!! Happy Spring!

At the group home last night we had a great time coloring eggs!!

But that didn't even come close to the fun we had when the EASTER BUNNY showed up early..and left us prizes on the porch!!

I love being The Easter Bunny! I'll have to do it again!!

While walking down the aisles of a thrift store this weekend...this little guy looked back at me. He called to me "take me home take me home!". Oh how I wanted to!! I have always loved globes and love being able to oversee the WHOLE WORLD!!

This weekend "my" church has had a WORLD WIDE General Conference. We have been taught the things Jesus would have us do. What a blessing!
