A place to rest my head! Unveiling!

Here she is..isn't she darling!! I might add something under her feet to make her taller. And the shutter is not permanent but was a fill in for the "photo shoot".


The color is a Martha Stewart color called Spring Blue Grass mixed in a Valspar paint at Lowes! It is also the color of my bathroom.

A little Suprise!

So I don't have pictures of my DARLING head board transformation!! The lighting is poor but I'll get some tomorrow!! SO CUTE!!

I took 2 of the cute girls from the group home (where I work) to our "NEW" McDonalds today...I was not to excited but they were pumped and I was in for a SURPRISE!! They had a yummy salad called the "Southwest" salad...and dare I say (minus the meat) it was rather yummy!! Do try it!! It reminds me of YUMMY Cafe Rio's salads!! For the Weight Watchers out there the salad and the dressing is 5 points!! (w/ out meat!)

Ruby Red Slippers II

I am really good at mixing paint...I am friends w/ the color wheel and have one in my head at all times. I have a cute little set of pots (top right) that I wanted to match the color on...so I opened all my little paint can friends!! I was in a hurry...and so this is what I mixed....


Ta da!! It looks like flesh w/ a bad sunburn...sigh...what a waste!!

Here is my headboard w/ one coat of paint. It is now waiting for the second coat to dry...and then I will abuse it w/ sand paper (aren't we funny) and put her in place!! What a beauty...and who knew she was hidding in the depths of the garage!!? I think I might be in love!!

Ruby Red Slippers!

I am tired of my headboard. It is beautiful and very functional but no longer my style. I have had my eyes peeled at thrift stores for awhile but nothing great. Today I got the painting bug! I dug and dug and look what I found. Some happy chippy junk hiding in the Conner of the garage and just what I wanted. Just like Dorothy "You had it all along".



Here is my current head board. Nice but time for a change!

Here is the lovely I found today!! It is as I type drying w/ a fresh coat of paint. Is it the right color you ask...I am not sure...but there are many cans of paint waiting if it isn't. The below picture is the "before" shot!!

Knock Knock!

I found this baby at a yard sale one summer. SO CUTE! After much work and a little chalk board paint...I hope she is living in a happy home some where!!

So I have been knocking for awhile now...how long does this knocking thing last? I am sure I have not been answered because I am knocking at the old "chippy junky" door of life.

While food shopping I decided I wanted a treat...but I wasn't sure it was a good idea. However I did have a great idea while standing in the frozen treat section. They should install a SCALE at the door...so you can't decide what treats would be ok to add to ones cart!!! What a FAB idea...I am sure to make millions! There would be a run on baby carrots and people only buying health food!

I am reminded often that we do not have garden tomatoes in the dead of winter in Utah!! Look at these babies...don't they make ya drool? Anyone w/ great tomato hints for this summer?

Confessions

I went to see "Confessions of a Shopaholic" this weekend! I dare say the books are WAY better then the movie! In the movie Rebecca isn't British it makes a huge difference...at least to me!

I am so glad that it doesn't take a 200.00 scarf to make me giddy...just a little 50 cent thrift store eye candy can make me giddy for weeks! What a blessing!

Happy Chippy Bathroom

This started out as a before and after about my

I got this little metal number at DI (thrift store) for 5 bucks...I think she is darling!!!

This is where I store my q-tips, bracelets, and millions of dollars of face "creams".

This is how I store my make up..easy to grab quick when I am in a hurry!!

This is how I store my necklaces...If I did it gain I would have added more knobs!

This is where the toilet paper lives!! I love this because it looks so clean and crisp and is so easy to get to and NO running out ever!!

Cheap but Useful!

So someone passed on a GREAT idea the other day so I thought I'd PASS IT ON!! I have a normal lined note book that holds all my computer passwords and what not. I felt smart for having one..but sometimes I can't find quickly what is in it. The other day someone told me to use an address book w/ tabs!! So I can put things in ABC order!! And look at this DARLING I got at HONKS!!

So I LOVE a good deal!! There are a few Honks in Utah but I have found the one in Logan to be bursting at the seams w/ fun good deals!! AND...on Tuesdays it is 88 CENT day!! WOOO WHOO!! I got the below bracelet at honks..w/ a few other GOODIES!! Check it out and ENJOY

I found this cute little lady at DI on my birthday for $1.00. It had a label on it and found I her online here top left. She retails for over 40.00 WOOOO WEEEE!!! I used her for a few months and someone offered me 35.00 for her...so I sold her. I am now PURSELESS!! Isn't trifting FUN!!?

I heart Cath Kidston Stuff!!

I think her stuff is so dang cute and happy!! But alas I live clear across the world..and many many miles from her stores in England, so I have to make do. I'd like to have aleast one of these. So I made my own! I got the blank keychains from the Target dollar section!!
